OUR MISSION
Love Cambodia’s mission is to transform the lives of the Cambodians, by the power of Christ’s love, through sustainable social and economic development projects. These projects aim to alleviate poverty and to empower the Cambodians, regardless of their status or religious affiliation.
OUR VISION
Our vision is guided by Jesus’ ministry, which is for all mankind to have life and to have it abundantly.
We long to see the lives the Cambodians transformed by the power of Christ’s love and compassion, through social and development projects.
WHO WE ARE
Love Cambodia is a Christian non-governmental organisation based in Prey Veng province, located in the Southeast of Cambodia, about two hours east of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital city.
Founded in 2007 Love Cambodia was founded on the principles of Christ’s love and compassion towards the poor and less privileged.
Prey Veng’s economy consists primarily of agricultural farming, fishing, as well as rice and fruit cropping. However, rural villagers generally depend on subsistence farming to survive. Love Cambodia aims to serve the 1,123 villages in the province through projects that support more stable and sustainable livelihoods.
OUR APPROACH
Love Cambodia’s approach is practical and driven by the needs on the ground.
It is managed locally and draws on the experiences and expertise of our Community Officers whose jobs are to identify and befriend the poorest families in a village. These families often have no means of income or resources to even afford one basic meal of rice a day.
We work alongside these families and villagers to plan and deliver economic, social and medical programmes that assist them to be physically, spiritually, mentally and socially confident.
OUR PEOPLE
Love Cambodia is led and staffed by a team of Cambodians who have a heart for the poor and needy among them.
Many of the staff grew up in Prey Veng and are now giving back to the community. They work tirelessly everyday to identify opportunities to lift families out of poverty by introducing sustainable economic development, social and savings programmes.
The leadership team comprises an Executive Director with more than 20 years of experience, who is guided by the Board and Advisors of Love Cambodia. They consist of experienced Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) workers, missionaries, businessmen, and law and engineering professionals, to develop policies, leadership skills and partnerships, to achieve sustainable results.
